Jonathan Hodges is a former sailor and a highly motivated personal trainer at Elite Edge since the summer of 2013. While in the United States Navy, he was a Fitness Instructor in charge of helping “out of standard” sailors and officers get back in shape. As a Naval Fitness Instructor, his primary focus is weight loss and building lean muscle. As a civilian Jonathan continues his education and obtained his Personal Training Certification from the National Personal Training Institute and is enrolled the 2016 Muscle Activation Techniques Specialist program in Denver, CO. Building relationships and changing lives is his passion and motivation for training. To date, he has lost 55 pounds, which enables him to understand the struggles that come along with weight loss as well as the road blocks associated with progress. Core stability, cardio-vascular efficiency, strength training, and joint range of motion are all key components of his fitness programs, and they will lead any motivated individual to success on his or her fitness journey. Since training with his brother for the 2013 Georgia Games, a USA Boxing tournament, he has been competing in amateur boxing and has four bouts under his belt.
